Some foods are genetically modified
Hi, this question relates to genetically modified foods and where or what kinds of foods are still safe to eat.
I can point out some of the foods that are definitely genetically modified, and it is best to avoid them because of the body’s immune system developing a resistance to those kinds of foods, developing allergies and complication with the absorption of those genetically modified substances.
So, there are foods like… very commonly used foods like soy beans, ninety-three percent of which are genetically modified, and then that is followed by corn or maize which modified at a rate of eighty-six percent. So most of these kinds of foods are genetically modified and should be avoided. Not all countries have opted for planting and growing genetically modified crops of soy and of corn but, many countries have now jumped on the bandwagon out of fear of not being competitive enough, even though it has been proven now that genetically modified corn has actually lower rate of production than the regular normally grown corn.
Then there is the cotton seed, cottonseed oil is mostly genetically modified ninety-three percent of it, and then there is the rapeseed oil which is sold as canola oil – that is genetically modified one hundred percent because that oil does not even exist in nature, rapeseed oil is only used as motor oil or engine oil but it is not fit for human consumption, it is far too toxic, so to alter it and change it to make it suitable for human consumption, it had to be genetically altered which was done in Canada, that is why the oil is called ‘CAN’ CAN-ada oil, CAN-ola oil, which is hundred percent genetically modified. It is very risky to take that oil, in experiments on mice it had shown, mice developed brain tumors, brain cancers and many other ailments.
Then there is a more recent genetically modified introduced modified food and that is alpha-alpha which is fed to us – as a feed to animals and then the genetically modified compounds obviously are accumulated in the animals and then eaten by humans, so, if you are eating meat, then you may have to consider accepting that there are genetically modified components in that meat.
Then there is, in Hawaii, there is the Hawaiian papaya. So the papaya that comes from Hawaii, that comes form the mainland here, eighty percent of the papaya is genetically modified.
Tomatoes are… there was the attempt to grow genetically modified tomatoes, but the crop failure was so huge that they scrapped that plan so, tomatoes are not genetically modified so you can still eat them.
Obviously it is better to eat organic foods because organic foods, they are not genetically modified foods. So if you want to be safe, then only eat foods that are not genetically modified,,, as long as you eat organically certified organic food, then you are pretty safe in that respect.
Then there is sugar beet, some of the sugar that is grown, about ten percent, is genetically modified now, and some squash is genetically modified… about thirteen to fourteen percent. So there are more and more foods that are coming on the market that will be genetically modified and it is good to do a Google search, find out which new foods are going to be genetically modified.
It is very important that we protect ourselves against those kinds of foods because they literally change the ability of the immune system, the digestive system to adjust to those new types of foods which can be adequately described as ‘Frankenstein foods’ because the body, a human body , needed millions of years of learning to adapt and to utilize those foods that have grown on this planet until then, and to have such a drastic genetic change that occurs in those new foods, the human body does not have the capability of making that adjustment, and it can create genetic damage to the human DNA.
Having said that, I would suggest do your best, try to find as much organic food that you can, either locally grown food which does not have the genetic modifications in them and that will keep you and your family safe and you can possibly do that.
Thank you very much for the question and hope this answers your question.
