The Karmic Workbook of Life

Every moment in a child’s life, whether it occurs before or after its birth, plays a very important role in shaping his personality. Each instant contributes to either a happy or an unhappy life in the future. The brain can be programmed in either way. Yet it is not in the child’s direct capacity to protect himself against parental abuse or to create a wonderful home full of love and support. The first 16-20 years of human life are generally subject to ‘karmic contracts and requirements’, which are only known to the soul before it is born in human form. After it has incarnated, all memory about deciding what lessons it needs to learn and which surroundings would be the most suitable to accomplish this, vanishes. It is for this reason that so many young people feel imprisoned until they have reached age 18 or 20. They don’t realize that they have voluntarily placed themselves into the limiting, often adverse surroundings and circumstances, only to work off their ‘karmic debts’ or obligations and thereby uplift their personal vibrations and those of their surroundings. Before the soul incarnate in human form it is aware of its highly developed status and power. It is our task here on Earth to consciously link up with this aspect of our soul and to use its immense wisdom and power while in matter. Each time we go through difficulties in life, we get closer to this goal.

After a certain age when the psychology and physiology of a person have matured enough to be able to live in a reasonably self-sufficient way, the soul becomes more free to consciously decide the course of its new life. The ‘book of karma‘ which the soul has brought into this life from the previous ones, is then ready to be understood and the real life teachings can begin. All the previous ‘positive and negative’ programming of the brain and personality during gestation and the first phases of life (from birth to 20), can now be used by the soul as a private ‘tutor’. Every resistance, problem and opportunity in life can be a profound lesson in the ‘Workbook of Life’. Human awareness is then able to rise above the challenges of life and harness the total capacity of its brain. Thus, it can reach the highest state of human development – unity consciousness.

To know that “I am in Everything” and “Everything is in Me” is the humble experience of unity consciousness similar to the essence of a golden ring, a golden chain or a golden figure which forever remains the same gold despite its appearance in different shapes. The human brain is capable of producing such sophisticated hardwiring that it can perceive consciousness and matter, which are the two extreme opposites of life, as expressions of the same thing – the Self. You are that Self; everyone is that Self. Like a huge spider web, we are all connected through this infinite field of vibrant existence. Your brain is the tool to know and live this final truth of life.
